PT281+ Ultramarathon

from 25 to 28 July 2019, are missing …

RUNNING INFORMATION

The option for the month of July relates to our inspirations. To be on the threshold of one of the most extreme tests in the world, we need a very important external factor: heat. In Badwater the heat easily reaches the 60th in the Californian Valley of Death. In BR135 + temperatures can at any time have a 95% humidity in the air. At PT 281+ Ultramarathon Beira Baixa Portugal we will be between the two.

During the month of July, in the places of passage of the test, the thermometers pass easily from 40º, besides being a dry, suffocating, ardent heat. This is a factor that easily places PT 281+ Ultramarathon Beira Baixa Portugal at a level of extreme difficulty.

ROUTE

The route is made on a continuous basis, starting from Penamacor and passing through the Serra de Malcata, Monsanto and Penha Garcia, Idanha-a-Nova, Tejo international, Vila Velha de Ródão, Portas de Ródão, Oleiros by the Appalachian Trail, To-New and with final in Castelo Branco.

It is done on a semi-self-sufficiency basis, that is, despite being a continuous course, with a completion time limit, participants will find along the course several Control Points, where they can rest and replenish their forces
